Ohana Dance Company's mission is to improve and strengthen a dancers abilities while nurturing them in a positive, family friendly environment.
Our Story
We all have a story to share. We all have different gifts, talents and abilities. We at Ohana love sharing the gifts of dance that God has given to us. All the instructors at Ohana have years of teaching experience and have been trained by some of the best. We enjoying seeing kids dancing abilities and confidence improve as they learn new skills. Dance is meant to be fun and we look forward to sharing it with everyone.

About Me: I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and started teaching at 15 years old. This is the start of my 30th year teaching! I have been married to the love of my life, Jason, for 25 years. I'm a mom of 2 girls, Marysa and Samantha, and son in-law Adam. I have a granddaughter, Melody, and a grandson, Maverick. I have a cat, Arlo, and a dog, Clark. My husband, Jason, and I love to go hiking, go on our sea doo, watch movies/TV series together, go to the beach, and go to Disney.

About Me: I have been married to my husband, Mark, for 25 years. We have 2 daughters, Elsa and Molly. Elsa has just graduated GRCC with a culinary degree. She owns her own business "Elsa's Sweets and Treats". Molly is a senior in high school at Hudsonville High School. She is an instructor and dancer here at Ohana. We have one dog named Charlie. I love spending time by our pool and with family and friends.

About Me: Miss Sara (one of the co-owners) is my mom so I have been submerged in dance since the day I was born. It is one of my passions in life and I am so glad I get to teach and inspire kids through dance and instill them with more confidence. At home, I spend time with my husband, Adam, my daughter, Melody, my son, Maverick, and my dog, Lacey. When I'm not dancing I am a hairdresser and have my own salon.

About Me: I have been dancing since I was in the fifth grade, and was trained classically at Grand Rapids Ballet and Turning Pointe School of Dance. My husband, Kyle, and I have been married for thirteen years this December and we have two girls who also danced at Ohana - they are in 3rd and 4th grades at Jenison Christian School. I work full-time job as an Executive Assistant to Jean Stoffer Design. We love to go camping as a family, and enjoy being outside in nature and in our garden. My hobbies include embroidery, playing piano, tending to our chickens, and cooking. I enjoy everything domestic.

About Me: This is my 6th year teaching at Ohana Dance Company, and I feel confident and prepared from the wonderful training I have undergone by Miss Sara. I am trained in Al Gilbert tap curriculum, several forms of jazz, and musical theatre. In addition to teaching here at Ohana, I also work at Mr. Burger in Allendale, so come stop by and see me there as well! I got married in September of 2023, to my husband Dan. I also am a huge Disney fan and go several times a year with my family.

About Me: I am a freshman in college at Calvin University this year. I have been dancing for just over 14 years. My favorite dance styles have always been: Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Musical Theatre. Dance has always been a passion of mine, and I love to share it with others!

About Me: I have been dancing since I was 4 years old. I attend Hudsonville High School and will be a senior this year. In addition to dancing at Ohana, I am also on the dance team at my school! When I am not dancing, I love hanging out with friends and family, and going to the beach! I have one sister (Elsa) and one dog (Charlie). My mom (Miss Stacy) is one of the co-owners of Ohana, and my dad helps out with a lot of things at Ohana!

About Me: I graduated from Baker College with an Occupational Therapy Assistant Degree. When I am not teaching I work for a home health company in the Holland area. I have been dancing since the age of 3, mostly ballet and tap. I have been teaching now for 9 years.

About Me: I have been dancing for just over 11 years with Miss Sara as my teacher and this is my second year teaching at Ohana. I am currently a Freshman at Grand Valley State University and am majoring in sonography. During the Summer I work at a greenhouse, Garden Crossings. In my free time I enjoy going to the beach, walking my dog Bear, and spending time with my family and friends.

About Me: I have been dancing since I was barely three years old, and have done ballet ever since. I trained at Grand Rapids ballet for many years before coming here to Ohana. I still focus on ballet, but have done contemporary. I will be a senior at Grandville high school this year. I love to draws and paint when I'm not dancing, as well as read occasionally. I can't wait to teach ballet this year!

About Me: I am going into my senior year of high school at Hudsonville High School. This is my first year working at Ohana, but I could not be more excited to get to know every single one of you! I am the oldest of four kiddos in my family. Outside of school and work, I love hanging out with friends and family, spending time outside, and being involved at our church, Chapel Pointe.
